This background could be supportive as a second commander to a Wyll, Blade of Frontiers dice roll deck or a Lulu, Loyal Hollyphant sacrifice outlet deck that bulks your entire army with +1/+1 counters

This makes it a pretty bad idea to keep Counterbalances, and bringing in Rest in Peace is not worth it, as its a double-sided Tormods Crypt, which is not what you want to be doing
