but everything else clearly points to a Tom Maxwell built rod

Comes with original Hardy box and slightly oversized Hardy zippered case that doesn't fit in the box

These reels preceded the introduction of the Deluxe II models and there were only 10 sets made of each the narrow and wide drum three-reel sets

Mechanically the reel is still in good condition with a RHW fixed check and some end play like most Uniqua style reels. The original smooth brass foot is unblemished. No cracks, chips, dings, or line grooves. A very nice and rare old Uniqua!
