Contre Jour Waterfall by Steve Atkinson Coral now part of the Make"Contre Jour Waterfall" combines two of my favorite things to paint a waterfall and backlit landscape. Since this light effect is so fleeting, I love to paint it on location as the sun is about to set. It's a rush hour that lasts about 15 minutes, so you have to be ready and paint not only what you see, but just as much by what you know is happening.
