This piece is playful and bright—I had been out of the studio for a while and was craving bold contrasts and loose whimsy

when colors obscure and light plays tricks on the eye

and acrylics directly onto the canvas and then manipulating them into place

This piece was one of my first paintings after a long hiatus from the studio
