Victorian Amethyst & Diamond Cluster Pendant, Boxed French this elegant antique ring capturesAn exquisite mid Victorian amethyst and diamond pendant, c. 1860, beautifully preserved in its original fitted case from the London jewellers Barker & Smith, Cornhill. The pendant features a deep, richly coloured pear shaped amethyst surrounded by a halo of bright old cut diamonds, suspended from a round cut amethyst surmount. The stones are mounted in silver and backed in gold a classic 19th century combination enhancing both contrast and brilliance.
