a true master of his craft whose perfectionism gave birth to some of the greatest music ever recorded

Yamame (山女魚) electronic Jonathan Richman formed The ModernJazz saxophonist Akira Miyazawa's 1962 debut album captures the essence of a mountain stream through avant garde sound. Named after a freshwater salmon, "Yamame" blends Miyazawa's passion for fishing with his pioneering vision of Japanese jazz. Originally titled simply "Akira Miyazawa," the album was reissued in 1977 under its now iconic name. A historic masterpiece that helped establish Japan's jazz foundation.
